NOTES FROM YOUR STEWARDSHIP COUNCIL
Met on Tuesday, August 24, 2021 to review recent activities and discuss future plans.
Sunday Mass Schedule – 3 Masses on Sunday morning to remain at least until Lent or Easter; Saturday 5:00 pm Mass stays the same. Only about 1/2 of our people are back to Mass. Please check on them.
Coffee & Donuts – Ministry started.
Pancake Breakfast – Next date is October 17. Attendance on July 18 was 139. Normally every 3rd Sunday from 9-11 am.
Movie Night – Need a family to volunteer to serve as host. Proposed frequency is once per quarter.
New Parishioners’ Welcoming – Dinner on Saturday, August 28, for those who registered from March–December 2020. Another is planned for September 25 for registrations from January–September 2021. Will go back to once per quarter going forward. Gift bags with the Holy Spirit logo will be presented to each new household.
Young Mothers’ Group – New group forming to socialize & support one another. Call office if interested in joining. This is different from the Elizabeth Ministry which is to pray and support pregnant women.
New Greeters Ministry – To welcome everyone that enters Mass. Looking for someone to organize volunteers. The Ushers have other duties to attend to.
Ministry Mission Statements – Father would like each ministry to prepare a brief statement to use for promoting their mission in the bulletin and other media outlets.
Fall Festival – Planning on early November as a joint venture between the School and Parish, for both outdoor and indoor activities. Contact Dr. Luciano or John Hartley with suggestions/assistance.
Parish Staff Update –Dionna Bellizi as Receptionist & Bulletin Editor; Maribel Hernandez replaced Lisa Bell as Religion Teacher in the school & continues as Director of Religious Education; Virginia Kell assumes the position of Youth Director. Welcome Fr. Jhon Perez during his stay at Holy Spirit.
